The show revolved around comedians and actors acting out scenes from television pilots that had been passed on previously by ABC. Further information on the show is scarce and nearly every episode of the show is presumed lost; only the premiere episode, "Honey, It's the Mayor," is known to survive in its entirety (uploaded to YouTube).

Playground is simple. We take a venue and turn it into a make-shift recording studio. We add a band, an audience, and give them one goal - create a song together in an hour, and then record it in one take. This four part TV series follows the Playground team across four cities as they set out to produce a new show in each city, with a local band.

Out of nowhere, a homeless Tae-sung shows up and sets up his so-called house in an apartment’s playground. The playground is not only for children but also for neighbors who come and go to share their stories. Tae-sung observes what people do around the playground and sometimes he helps them to solve the problem. When the righteous homeless becomes almost like a sheriff of the playground, suddenly female residents disappear one by one.
